Sarah French

Founder & CEO

After 20 years in the news industry, Sarah French wanted to take her wealth of storytelling experience and, together with her team of incredible photographers and videographers, help businesses and individuals tell their unique stories and grow their audience. Sarah and her team know what works, bringing a creative, results-driven approach to every project they undertake.

As a five-time Emmy Award-winning journalist, Sarah most recently served as a main news anchor for WCNC Charlotte. Before her time in Charlotte, Sarah was an anchor/reporter for WHDH in Boston. Sarah has reported on major global events, including the Boston Marathon bombing, the 2010 Haiti earthquake, and the 2008 Beijing Olympics.

Beyond Journalism

Throughout her years in journalism, Sarah has become a dedicated advocate and voice for domestic violence victims. After the tragic death of her friend and colleague, Alice Morrin, Sarah worked with Connecticut legislators to make 911 texting possible, ensuring others have a vital lifeline in emergencies.

Sarah is a graduate of the University of Missouri School of Journalism, where she earned her Master of Journalism degree, focusing on interactive media. Following her coverage of the Boston Marathon bombing, Sarah centered her graduate research on supporting journalists who cover traumatic events.

In addition to founding Sarah French Media Group, Sarah owns Nest Photo Studio—a boutique photography studio in Charlotte specializing in family, business, and commercial shoots.
